HP Comparisons – From Traditional Engine Technology and Beyond!

VGT does not yet have empirical evidence that provides horsepower results and comparisons. However, based on data from the report from Dr. Karim and Dr. Shrestha, the forecasted potential brakepower (Brakepower = horsepower less estimated 20% losses due to friction, energy for parts such as alternator, generator etc) of the RoundEngine is as follows:

Research to date indicates that the RoundEngine has major torque and horsepower advantages over existing reciprocating engines, especially at low RPM. In other words, the RoundEngine is expected to be able to generate the same horsepower at say 3,000 that existing engines of the same displacement will generate at much higher RPM. When RoundEngine research is completed and empirical data generated, VGT will provide more detailed comparisons.
