Rudy Pekau , Technical Advisor, is one of the four founding members of VGT and was appointed to his current position in October of 2004. Prior to joining VGT, Rudy’s background includes teaching and Quality Assurance within the automotive industry. Rudy received his Mechanical Engineering Degree, M.Sc., Honours, from Technical University of Munich, Germany. After graduating, Rudy worked for General Motors in the capacity of Quality Assurance for a period of three years in heavy vehicle development, configuration, reliability and test evaluation. Rudy next worked as an engineering consultant, for two years, with a primary focus on the design of specialized tooling machines for manufacturing and automotive components. Rudy then spent 10 years in the International Aerospace Industry involved in the development of the European Airbus A300, the fighter aircraft Tornado and Helicopter programs as well as computer aided design and manufacturing, configuration management, design guidelines and quality assurance. Since 1981, Rudy has worked with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), as an instructor in thermodynamics, heat engines, gas turbine theory, machine design, fluid mechanics, turbo machinery and advanced materials.
Since 1985 Rudy has been involved in the development of innovative new products such as the toroidal internal combustion engine (VGT) technology which has received both U.S. and European patents.
